Here is Alexandra von Bolz'n first solo project.
15 years ago she was one of the first females to pioneer in German DIY hardcore with her band Kimusawea. Again at the forefront in that sense was her Grindcore band Bolz'n, which impressed the audience with the pleasure the band took in noise and destruction, its pure lust for annihilation. Her intense and uncompromising approch was hitherto unheard of especially from a female singer.
Over the last few years she has had a large number of collaborations with big names of the experimental music scene such as Z'EV, Pure, Christoph de Babalon and many others, which shows the amazing scope and variability of her voice as well as the diversity of her musical interests.
"Schnitt"- pure lust for noise & annihilation is a set which merges some of Alexandra's favourite music genres. It is a maelstrom of parts with the intense brutality that has been the hallmark of Alexandra von Bolz'n's work from the very beginning of her career as a musician. Yet there are also these other moments which unveil a different, much more sensitive and lyrical facet of her work, including also forms of music that we have so far not seen her practice. It is these aspects of this project in particular that makes it so diverse, and so brilliant.
